Being around positive, uplifting people will always have an effect on you. Have a think about those closest to you.

It is often quoted by Jim Rohn (motivational speaker) that you can become the average of the 5 people you spend most time with, so you need to consider this carefully as women are often affected by negativity and can dwell on negative encounters so:

  • Seek out positive interactions and don’t engage in gossip.
  • Control any negative thoughts and let go of any grudges that you might have

Eliz Greene in her book Busy woman’s guide to a healthy heart (2009) suggests you think about the relationship closest to you, as living with a stressful unsupportive partner has been shown to increase a woman’s risk of metabolic syndrome, having a heart attack or heart failure by up to 34%.
