This groundbreaking one-day event, will bring together national and international experts to tackle critical challenges in women\u2019s cardiovascular health, aiming to raise awareness and drive change in this crucial area.<\/p>\n<p>The Her Heart Conference 2024 will bring together medical professionals, thought leaders, and community members to discuss the latest advancements in cardiovascular disease treatment, research, and the disparities women face in access to care. The all-day program will showcase cutting-edge research, including findings from the Women\u2019s Australian Longitudinal Study and the National Cardiac Registry. Key themes include challenges in treatment for Atrial Fibrillation, Heart Failure and other conditions specific to women. It will also address the impact of health inequities faced by women, particularly First Nations women. There will also be a focus on innovative solutions such as Women\u2019s Heart Clinics as a specialised service.<\/p>\n<h3>Highlights will Include:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Professor Noel Bairey-Merz, Director of the Barbra Streisand Women\u2019s Heart<br \/>\nCentre at Cedars-Sinai, a global leader in women\u2019s heart health and a founding member of Her Heart.<\/li>\n<li>The Hon. Ged Kearney MP, Assistant Minister for Health &amp; Aged Care, Assistant Minister for Indigenous Health with a career dedicated to healthcare and social justice.<\/li>\n<li>Aunty (Dr) Vicki Wade, a national leader in Aboriginal women\u2019s health, who will speak on the strength, determination, and resilience of Aboriginal women, drawing from her work with the &#8220;Koort for the Koort&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>MC Sophie Scott OAM to chair a Panel &#8220;Navigating Cardiovascular Challenges During a Woman\u2019s Life course.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Her Heart\u2019s Founder and CEO, Prof. Linda Worrall-Carter, will also share her vision of how Her Heart is driving transformative change in women\u2019s heart health across Australia. &#8220;This conference marks a pivotal moment in the fight against heart disease for women. By uniting global leaders, healthcare professionals, and the community, we are not just closing gaps in diagnosis and care \u2013 we are empowering women with the knowledge and tools to take control of their heart health.
